Miss Earth 2014 Jamie Herrell honored by Philippine congress

Both the lower and upper chambers of Philippine congress hailed the newly crowned Miss Earth 2014 Jamie Herell by approving a resolution congratulating the Filipina beauty queen.

A Senate press release stated that Senate Resolution No. 1039, authored by Senator Lito Lapid, recognized the achievement of Herrell when she won the prestigious title against 83 other candidates from all over the world.


Meanwhile, the lower congress passed the HR01726 which is the House Resolution congratulating Jamie for winning the Miss Earth crown. Jamie together with the other elemental queens of Miss Earth 2014 attended the House of Representative session where she presented a copy of the resolution.

 

Jamie also appeared in the Senate where she was feted by the senators and also given a copy of a resolution commending her feat. She now joins the likes of Megan Young and Bea Rose Santiago who were also given the same honor by both houses of the Philippine Congress.
