By winning the sports competition, Miss Cook Islands Natalia Short is assured of a Top 20 placement. She is the very first Cook Islander to place in the semis of any Big5 Pageants and is also the first Miss World 2016 contestant to be named as a semifinalist.
The contestants were grouped into Red, Blue and White groups. Placing second is Miss Croatia Angélica Zacchigna while Miss Malta Anthea Zammit is third. Here’s the complete list of Miss World finalists at the sports competition:

White Group: Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, Latvia, New Zealand, Panama & Singapore
