“I never expected this; for me is a dream come true,” said the newly elected Miss Austria 2014 Julia Furdea. She is a 19-year-old beauty from Asten and was crowned as the national winner at the grand final held in Casino Baden in Baden on July 3, 2014. The reigning Miss Universe 2013, Gabriela Isler and Miss World 2009, Kaiane Aldorino, were among the judges for the event. Julia stands 1.70 m and will now go on to represent Austria in Miss World 2014. The 1st runner-up Nadine Stoitz is expected to go to Miss Universe while Katharina Nahlik emerged as 2nd runner-up.
