Miriam Rautert was crowned the new Miss Universo Germany during the finals held September 1.
The German-Trinidadian model edged out nine other candidates for the title and the right to represent the western European country at the 2019 Miss Universe pageant.
Annabelle Bardot, who was Miss World Germany 2018, placed first runner-up. Alena Krempl finished second runner-up.
Rautert holds a degree in journalism and corporate communication.
