The 29th edition of Reina Hispanoamericana finally took place last February 8 in Bolivia, after much delay caused by political turmoil in the host country.

Regina Peredo of Mexico, 19, was crowned the new queen by outgoing titleholder Nariman Battikha.

Gabrielle Vilela of Brazil finished as the Virreina. The runners-up included Laura Claro of Colombia (1st runner-up), Puerto Rico’s Yuanilie Alvarado (2nd runner-up), Paraguay’s Ketlin Lottermann (3rd runner-up), Venezuela’s Valeria Badell (4th runner-up), and Katrina Llegado of the Philippines (5th runner-up).
