The Señorita Panamá 2019 pageant concluded on June 20 with the crowning of the country’s representatives to two of the Big5 beauty pageants, and attended by reigning Miss International Mariem Velazco.
Mehr Eliezer, representing Isla Flamenco, was crowned Señorita Panamá 2019. The 22-year-old international relations and economics student will represent the country in the next edition of the Miss Universe pageant.
The Señorita Panamá Internacional 2019 title went to Betzaida Rodriguez. The 22-year-old industrial engineering student will travel to Japan for the 2019 Miss International beauty pageant in November.
Carmen Drayton of Portobelo was named Señorita Panamá Grand 2019. Panama Este’s Carmen Jaramillo, former Miss Earth Panama, placed first runner-up. Ana Lucía Tejeira of Cocle was second runner-up.
A total of 24 candidates competed at the finals held at the Roberto Durán Arena in Panama City.
Panama has one Miss Universe (Justine Pasek, 2002) and one Miss International (Lia Borrero, 1998) titleholders. Missosology.Org
