Representing the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Marthina Brandt won late on Wednesday, November 18, the Miss Brazil 2015 crown. The televised event was held at Citibank Hall, in São Paulo, and beamed live by the Band channel.
In second place was Sabrina Meyer, Miss Santa Catarina, while the representative of Sao Paulo, Jessica Vilela came on third. This is the 61st edition of the Brazil’s most prestigious beauty pageant and the winner, Marthina Brandt, will compete for the Miss Universe 2015 title on December 20 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Melissa Gurgel, the 2014 winner of Miss Brazil contest, handed over her crown and sash. Melissa was a finalist in Miss Universe 2014.
Brazil is currently the third strongest nation in the world of pageantry.
