Maristella Okpala was crowned Miss Earth Nigeria 2018 during the finals held September 8.
The model and dental technologist will now represent her country at the 2018 Miss Earth finals in the Philippines in November.
“The road has been rough, every setback has taught an amazing lesson, every lesson learnt has moulded/formed me into being a BETTER WOMAN of the EARTH who would always love, adore and RESPECT her ENVIRONMENT and Who would always promote the Green Culture,” Okpala posted on her Instagram account.
Her elemental court included Vinna Snithers Briggs (Miss Air), Nna-Udosen Chikaodili (Miss Water) and Ekwemozo Adaobi (Miss Fire).
No stranger to pageants, Okpala joined Supermodel International 2014 in Korea where she placed in the Top 12. She also competed in the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria 2017 contest where she won Miss Photogenic and Miss Congeniality.
