Miss USA alumna Marisa Paige Butler was crowned Miss World America 2018 on September 22.
The 24-year-old economist and opera singer will head on to compete at the 2018 Miss World finals in December in Sanya, China.
“Words can not begin to describe how absolutely honored I am to be your new @americasmissworld 2018! China here I come,” Butler posted on Instagram.
Racquel Basco and Shivali Patel placed first and second runners-up, respectively.
Butler is no stanger to pageants as she was Miss Maine USA 2016 and competed in Miss USA 2016. She is an economics graduate cum laude from Stonehill College. Missosology.Org
