Maria Belen Cabrera, 20, was crowned Miss Earth Uruguay 2015 during the finals held at Hotel Punta del Este Arenas in Punta del Este. She has earned the right to represent the country in the Miss Earth finals later this year.
“I am very happy and I can not believe it. At first I had doubts whether to introduce the contest, but my family convinced me. Do not know what to do because I’m concentrating in school and now I’m working (Estoy muy contenta y no lo puedo creer. Al principio tenía dudas si presentarme o no al concurso, pero mi familia me convenció. No sabía qué hacer porque estoy concentrada en los estudios y ahora estoy trabajando),” Maria Belen was quoted as saying in El Telegrafo.
The runners-up were: Miss Air Viviana Perez, Miss Fire Melina Carballo, and Miss Water Agustina Barreiro.
