Maja Čolić was crowned Miss Slovenia 2021 during the finals held June 27 in Hrastnik.
The 21-year-old international business student from Ribnica bested 14 other candidates for the title and the right to represent the European nation at the 70th Miss World in December in Puerto Rico.
“A year and a half ago, I entered the project without expectations, but with a clear goal – to stay true to myself and take advantage of all the opportunities and opportunities. I put in a lot of effort and this one paid off in the end. This, after all, is not the end at all, but only the beginning. I am ready and I know this will be my year (Pred letom in pol sem v projekt vstopila brez pričakovanj, ampak z jasnim ciljem – ostati zvesta sami sebi in izkoristiti vse dane možnosti in priložnosti. Vložila sem ogromno truda in ta je bil na koncu poplačan. To pa navsezadnje sploh ni konec, ampak šele začetek. Jaz sem pripravljena in vem, da bo to moje leto!),” Čolić posted on Instagram.
Lina Jenšac and Neža Simčič placed first and second runners-up, respectively.
