Leyla van Greuning was crowned Miss Supranational South Africa 2019 during the finals held July 27 at the Arto Theatre in Pretoria.

The 20-year-old model and marketing student will travel to Poland for the 11th edition of the Big5 pageant. She also bagged the Best Evening Gown award.

“The endless support, motivation, encouragement and help that was given to me throughout this journey is hugely appreciated,” Van Greuning said in a Facebook post. “Please continue to support me as I prepare to represent our beautiful country in the international Miss Supranational pageant in Poland.”

Misha Christie and Anrónet Ann Roelofsz were first and second princesses, respectively.

Roelofsz bagged Best in Social Media, Miss Debutante, Best Bikini Boday and Miss Photogenice awards, while Evene Locke won Miss Public Choice and Best National Costume.
