Kelin Rivera Kroll was crowned the new Miss Peru during the finals held October 20 at the Gran Maracaná de Jesús María in Lima.

The 26-year-old model from Arequipa will head on to represent the South American nation at the 2019 Miss Universe pageant in December in the USA. She is the sister of Miss Peru World 2014 Sofía Rivera.

In 2018, Rivera finished second runner-up in Miss Peru 2018. She competed in Miss Eco International 2018 pageant in Egypt and placed first runner-up.

Janick Maceta, representing USA Peru, was named the new Miss Peru Supranational 2019. She will compete at the 2019 Miss Supranational contest in December in Poland.

Also crowned in the event were Miss Peru Grand 2020 Distrito Capital’s Samantha Batallanos, Miss Peru Hispanoamericana 2019 Diana Rengifo (Ucayali), and Miss Peru Eco International 2020, Lesly Reyna (Region Lima).

With the theme “Reinas de Reinas”, 10 former beauty queens that represented Peru in various international pageants competed again for the Miss Peru crown. This came after Anyella Grados (Miss Peru 2019) and Tiffany Yoko Chong (Miss Supranational Peru 2019), who were crowned in a separate pageant in Octover last year, were stripped off their titles.

Miss Universe Spain 2018 Angela Ponce was a special guest at the event.
