Joannie Cantun has been appointed Miss Earth Belize 2018, earning her the right to represent the country in Miss Earth.
The 23-year-old beauty from Orange Walk District will travel to the Philippines for the international pageant in November.
Cantun graduated with a degree in history from the University of Belize. She is the director of Maya Nay dance group and a member of Puk’si’ikal Maya group responsible for preserving culture and heritage. She is also into volleyball and football.
She represented Belize at the 2017 Miss Latina America del Mundo competition in Mexico where she placed in the Top 10. Prior to that, she was crowned Miss Estero Amor 2017.
