India’s representatives to two of the Big5 beauty pageants were crowned in an event held September 26 at Rocky Star Cocktail Bar Lounge in Mumbai.
Vartika Singh was named Miss Diva Universe 2019. The 26-year-old model from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh will represent the country at the 2019 Miss Universe competition.
Prior this, she was Femina Miss India Grand International 2015. She represented India in a Bangkok-based minor pageant and finished second runner-up. A year before that, she participated in Miss Diva 2014.
“I am lucky to get another chance to represent my country on such a big platform,” she was quoted by Times India.
The Miss Diva Supranational 2019 title went to Shefali Sood. The 24-year-old from Noida, Uttar Pradesh will compete at the 2019 Miss Supranational competition in December in Poland.
No stranger to pageants, Sood previously participated in Miss India 2017. A year after, she joined Miss Diva and finished in the Top 10.
Also crowned was Varun Verma as Mister India Supranational 2019. This software engineer will vie for a back-to-back victory at the 2019 Mister Supranational contest in December in Poland. He receieved the sash from Mister Supranational 2018 Prathamesh Maulingkar.
