The last time this Special Administrative Region had participated at Miss Supranational was in 2015. This year would only be its 4th time to join in the prestigious pageant!
Appointed as Miss Hong Kong Supranational 2022 is Kumiko Lau. She is 27 years of age and she is an entrepreneur and a mental health advocate. She will compete at the Miss Supranational 2022 pageant which will be held in Nowy Sącz, Poland on July 15.
Hong Kong is one of the territories with rich history at beauty pageants. However, since it was turned-over by the British to China in 1997, its participation at major international beauty pageants was not consistent. For example, Hong Kong no longer participates at Miss Universe since 2000. It is so far active only at Miss World and Miss International. Since 2017, it slipped from 51st to 54th at the Big5 Ranking.
