Germany’s Denisse Nicolle Ligpitan bagged the Best in National Costume award during the Miss Asia Pacific International 2019 national costume show, earning her an automatic slot in the semifinals.

Malaysia’s Amanda Lee and Brazil’s Carolina Schuler placed first and second runners-up, respectively, during the national costume show was held October 4 at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City in the Philippines.

Also advancing to the the semifinals were the Continental Queens, namely: Michele-Ange Minkata from Cameroon (Africa); Jessica Cianchino from Canada (Americas); Klyza De Castro from the Philippines, (Asia); Lauralyn Vermeersch from Belgium (Europe); and Chelsea Martin from New Zealand, (Oceania).

A number of special awards were also given during the event:
Miss Hotel 101: Philippines
Miss Culture Hair Salon: Canada
Perpetual Help Leadership Award: Philippines
Perpetual Help Choice Award: Italy
Perpetual Help Community Service Award:Peru
Miss Congeniality: Israel
