Georgia Bemah of Bong Country was crowned Miss Earth Liberia 2019 during the finals held April 21 at the Executive Pavilion in Monrovia.
The 24-year-old model bested eight other candidates for the right to represent the West African country in the next edition of the Miss Earth pageant.
Asked during the finals on who is responsible for the pollution of our environment, Bemah said: “The people are responsible for the pollution of the country because we are involved with activities that are harmful to our planet, and besides, we are the same people that make up the government, so protecting our environment needs to start from you and myself.”
Farming Farmah of Bomi placed first runner-up while Cleopatra Speare of Grand Bassa was second runner-up.
Bemah holds a bachelors degree in Biology from the University of Liberia.
