Gabriela Isabel de la Cruz, representing Carabobo, was crowned Miss Supranational Venezuela 2019 in a special ceremony held August 22 at the Centro Cultural Chacao in Caracas.
The 19-year-old stunner bested 29 other delegates for the right to represent the South American nation at the 2019 Miss Supranational competition in December in Poland.
“It’s amazing that they gave me this crown. All my companions knew this was the one I wanted,” de la Cruz said in a press conference held after the contest. “I want to show what we are made of, and that we have values and principles.”
Ivana Rodrigues (Distrito Capital) and Maria Laura López (Tachira) placed first and second runners-up, respectively.
The 29 other candidates will return to the stage on August 25 for the Miss Venezuela Earth 2019 finals.
Also crowned in the same event is Mister Supranational Venezuela 2019 Leonardo Carrero. The 26-year-old gym instructor will compete in Poland for the 2019 Mister Supranational contest in Poland. He was selected by Miss Earth Venezuela Organization president Prince Julio César after several castings.
