Fernanda Mendez Tapia was crowned Miss Earth Chile 2019 during the finals held August 10 at the Teatro Municipal de Vicuña.
The 27 year-old engineering student from San Pedro de Atacama will represent the South American nation at the 2019 Miss Earth finals in October in the Philippines.
Her elemental court included Antonia Pereir of La Calera (Miss Aire), Camila Zambrano of Temuco (Miss Agua), Katheirne Castillo of Ovalle (Miss Fuego), and Mariana Mendoza of La Reina (Miss Ecotourismo).
Mendez is no stranger to pageants. In 2016, she joined Miss Earth Chile and was named Miss Air.
