Representing the state of Nebraska, Faron Medhi, 18, was crowned as the new Miss Teen USA during a glittering finals night held at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno in the state of Nevada. She is the second Nebraskan to win the title after Tammy Jo Hopkins who won in 1981. Faron Medhi is a high school graduate who also works as a model. She hopes to attend Grand Canyon University in Phoenix to pursue a degree in biology.
Finishing as first runner-up is Jenna Beckstrom of Idaho while Cassidy Hill of California is the second runner-up. Making it to the Top 5 are Isabella Mosqueda of Michigan (3rd runner-up) and McKinley Farese of Tennessee (4th runner-up). The Top 10 semifinalists are:
