Erlande Berger was crowned Miss World Haiti 2021 during the finals held October 3 at the Karibe Hotel in Port-au-Prince.

The 24-year-old communications graduate, actress, model, entrepreneur and makeup artist will represent the country at the 70th Miss World contest to be held in December in Puerto Rico. She succeeded 2019 winner Alysha Morency.

Fabienne Auguste and Samantha Cesar placed first and second runners-up, respectively.

“I am so honoured to have been elected Miss World Haiti 2021. This competition has been an enriching journey. Today I am the country’s new ambassador. I dedicate this wreath to you, dear audience, and invite you to join me in representing this country with dignity,” Berger said.

Berger is the founder of the Berger Foundation, which works on female leadership and supports underprivileged children.
