Ella Baker-Roberts was named Miss Earth UK 2020 in a virtual competition held September 28.

The 24-year-old barista and conservation and international wildlife trade masters student from Rough Common will represent the United Kingdom at the 2020 Miss Earth virtual competition in November. She also bagged the Beauties For A Cause UK Eco Ambassador and Best in Interview special awards.

The rest of the five finalists were Emma Twist (Best Hair and Make-up), Lauri Knowler (Miss Charity), Freyja Bills, and Kate Marie (Most Photogenic and Best in Evening Gown).

“[Miss Earth] has already started internationally, so im hitting the ground running and I’m a busy busy bee!! But I couldn’t be happier for this opportunity. I love you all and hope to make everyone proud,” Baker-Roberts posted on Instagram.

Baker-Roberts previously competed in Miss Great Britain 2019 and was awarded Miss Publicity Great Britain. She loves dancing Brazilian Zouk and has just begun teaching the dance form. She also competes for her university cheerleading team and showjumping for her university varsity equestrian team.
