Finally, on her fourth time competing in the pageant, Elísa Gróa was crowned Miss Universe Iceland during the finals held September 29.
The 27-year-old full-time flight attendant and part-time professional makeup artist representing Capital Region bested 20 other finalists for the title. She will represent the nation at the 70th Miss Universe competition in Eilat, Israel in December.
Elísa has a lot of experience competing in pageants, and even represented Iceland twice on international stages. Her advocacy is suicide prevention, and as the next Miss Universe Iceland, she would like to partner with an organization to bring awareness to this important issue.
Meanwhile, Iris Rreyja Salguero was crowned Miss Supranational Iceland 2021 and will represent the country at the 2022 Miss Supranational competition.
