The 2019 Miss Ecuador pageant concluded on July 19 with the crowning of the Caribbean country’s representatives to two of the Big5 pageants.
Miss Ecuador Universo
Cristina Hidalgo Berry was crowned Miss Ecuador Universo 2019. The 22-year-old model and public relations student from Guayaquil will head on to compete at the 2019 Miss Universe contest.
Miss Ecuador Internacional
Meanwhile, Alegría María Tobar was named Miss International Haiti 2019. The 25-year-old model, public relations expert, and yoga instructor will travel to Japan for the 2019 Miss International beauty pageant in December. She was crowned by reigning Miss International Mariem Velazco.
Sonia Luna, who won Miss Photogenic, finished first runner-up while Sofia Freile placed second runner-up. Eliza Quiñónez and María José Rivera as were third and fourth runners-up, respectively.
