It was a back-to-back victory for the state of Lara as Diana Silva was crowned Miss Earth Venezuela 2018 in a grand finals show held August 12 at the Centro Cultural Chacao in Caracas.
The 20-year-old marketing and advertising student will now aim for the powerhouse country’s third Miss Earth crown when she travels to the Philippines for the international pageant in November. She was crowned by last year’s winner Ninoska Vasquez.
Sarilé González of Tachira, who was awarded Most Photogenic and Best Figure, was named Miss Air. Katherine Rodríguez of Carabobo was Miss Water, while the Miss Fire elemental title went to Verónica Araque of Falcon.
Silva, who also bagged the Belleza Integral special award, is no stranger to beauty pageants. In 2017, she was crowned Miss Turismo Venezuela. In the same year, she won the Miss City Tourism World crown in China. Missosology.Org
