Diana Hamed was crowned Miss Egypt Universe 2019 during the finals held October 20 at Al-Masa hotel in Cairo.

The 24-year-old model bested 19 other candidates for the title and the right to compete at the 2019 Miss Universe pageant in December in the USA.

“Last night was one of the most memorable nights in my life which I will never forget,” Hamed posted on Instagram a day after the competition. “Becoming Miss Universe Egypt is a dream come true.”

Aya Abdelrazek and Mirna Mekawy placed first and second runners-up, respectively.
