Tanzania crowned its new beauty queen who will represent the country at the Miss World 2016 contest which will be held in National Harbor, Maryland, United States. Diana Edward Lukumai became the new Miss World Tanzania in a pageant held in Mwanza. Aside from the prestige of the title, Diana also won a brand new car. In the same pageant, Maria Peter was named first runner-up while Grace Malikita was the second runner-up.
The highest placement of Tanzania at Miss World was in 2005 when Nancy Sumari made it to the Top 6 and became the Continental Queen of Africa. Tanzania is currently ranked at 91st at the Big5 Ranking. CLICK HERE!
