Deta Kokomani is 21 years of age and she is from the city of Durres. She is in her third year pursuing a degress in Pharmacy and in her spare time she plays the piano. She is musically inclined beauty queen having spent her high school years at the Durres Artistic High School.
Deta participated at the Miss Universe Albania pageant to “feel more confident and to represent the values of Albanian women to the world”. She added that she wants “to be remembered not just as a beautiful girl, but as a woman who could really use the platform of the competition to make a difference in society”.
Albania first participated at Miss Universe 2002. Anisa Kospiri became the first Albanian to compete at Miss Universe where she eventually named as one of the Top 10 finalists. Albania is currently ranked in 106th place at the Big5 Ranking.
