Nuestra Belleza México 2017

19-year-old Denisse Franco, representing Sinaloa state, was crowned Nuestra Belleza México 2017 and will compete in the 66th Miss Universe edition. The 5’7 beauty from El Dorado stood out from the other 14 delegates that were part of the semifinalists.

Treisy Higuera (Tamaulipas) and Karla Berúmen (Aguascalientes) ended up as the first and second runner-up, respectively. Yareli Carrillo (Sinaloa) and Angela Robles (Jalisco) were part of the top 5.

Completing the Top 10 were Adriana Villaseñor (Jalisco), Rebeca Pérez (Nuevo León), Laila Kuri (Querétaro), María Antillón (Sonora) and Rossana Kin (Yucatán).

The top 15 were composed of Janeth Loya (Chihuahua), Margarita Magaña (Colima), Josselyn Preciado (Nayarit), María Cabildo (Puebla) and Ana Ganuza (Querétaro).

The special awards went to Josselyn Preciado, NB Digital; María Antillon, NB Talent and Fraiche recognition; Laila Kuri, Sport challenge winner; Catwalk challenge winner, Margarita Magaña; Treisy Higuera, Journey to Success recognition.

There were four rounds of competition: swimsuit, evening gown, personal question and general question. A preliminary competition was held a day before, where the 32 contestants had the chance to parade in swimsuit and evening gown.

Last January, Mexico’s Cristal Silva reached the top 9 in the 65th Miss Universe Beauty Pageant that took place in Pásay City, Philippines. / José Antonio Coronel Aizaga
