After 37 years, Guadeloupe is set to return to the Miss Universe stage.

Danitzia Logis, a 20-year-old management economics graduate, was crowned Miss Universe Guadeloupe and Sint Marteen 2021 and will head on to represent the Caribbean island at the 70th Miss Universe competition in Eilat, Israel in December.

Logis previously competed in Miss Guadeloupe 2019 and placed second runner-up. She competed alongside Clémence Botino who represented Guadeloupe and won Miss France 2020 (Botino will represent France at the 70th Miss Universe).

“Miss Universe is no longer a dream but now a reality! We will give the best and we will highlight the best of what our islands have to offer to promote our culture and our heritage on the international stage,” the Miss Universe Guadeloupe Organisation posted on Instagram.

Guadeloupe last competed in Miss Universe in 1984 with Martine Seremes. It currently ranks 114th in Missosology Big 5 Ranking. Missosology.Org; Photos from Miss Universe Guadeloupe
