Crystal Fiona Rio was crowned Miss Earth Northern Marianas 2021 during the finals held September 18 at the Hyatt Regency Saipan.
The 18-year-old psychology student from Chalan Kanoa edged out five other candidates for the title. She will represent the Islands at the 2021 Miss Earth pageant to be held later this year. She succeeded 2020 winner Maria Lael Terlaje.
Rio also bagged the People’s Choice and Best in Evening Gown awards. Her elemental court included Miss Air Sue Ann Marie Huevo, Miss Water Justine Rain Selepeo Kirby, and Miss Fire Stephanie Borja.
