Charity Mwangi, a 22 year old beauty from Kiambu, was crowned as Miss World Kenya 2015 in a glamorous event held in Weston Hotel, Nairobi. Along with the crown, Charity Mwangi also will get the chance of a lifetime to represent Kenya at the Miss World 2015 pageant in Sanya, China this December.
According to The Nation, a leading Kenyan newspaper, Charity Mwangi is an Agricultural Resource Management student at the Kenyatta University. According to her she she will pursue a personal campaign called ‘Mtoto Aishi initiative’ which aims to educate mothers, nannies and child caregivers on first aid to avert infant death in domestic accidents.
Miss Kajiado Margaret Muchemi Kajiado is the first runner-up while Murang’a’s Olive Waithera was the second runner-up.
