Carmina Olimpia Coftas was crowned Miss Universe Romania 2021 during the finals held August 29 at Face Club in Bucharest.
The 20-year-old model from Cluj-Napoca bested 24other candidates for the top plum and the right to represent the nation at the 70th Miss Universe competition in Eilat, Israel in December. She succeeds 2020 winner Bianca Tirsin.
Tisza Julia placed first runner-up, while Vivien Bungardean finished second runner-up. Delia Bulgaru and Emma Maria Trache were third and fourth runners-up, respectively.
Coftas is in her last year of taking up her bachelor’s degree in history at the Babeş Bolyai University. She also works as a TV and radio producer, interviewing medical experts in a constant effort to show and bolster how important healthcare is through social media.
Romania has yet to win the Miss Universe crown. The country currently ranks 78th in Missosology Big5 Ranking. Missosology.Org
