with L Bawk Nu, Miss Supranational Myanmar 2015
Myanmar is slowly but surely becoming one of the most serious pageant countries in Asia after a smashing performance from their pageant participation last year.
In Miss Supranational, Khin Wint Wah, their first ever representative in 2013, made it as Top 20 finalists and won the Miss Internet award. Han Thi, the 2014 delegate won the same online voting award and also advanced to the Top 10 finals. She was also crowned as Miss Supranational Asia & Oceania continental title.
This year, a charming 21 year old L Bawk Nu will try to equal if not surpass the achievements of her two predecessors when she competes in Krakow, Poland for the 2015 Miss Supranational pageant.
Tell me something about yourself and family?
I am currently on my first year at West Yangon University taking up BA English and at the same time I have a Diploma in Nursing at the Yangon General Hospital. I am the breadwinner of my family. I am with my two younger sisters and I support them in everything since my parents got divorced already. My mother is now living in the United States and my father is also living on his own.
What is your current profession?
I am working as a model and part time event host for almost 3 years now. I have made 8 music videos and 3 TV commercials already as a model.
What is your career ambition?
My goal is for the women of Myanmar to admire me because of my projects under Miss Golden Land Myanmar Organization which is to upgrade the education system in Myanmar. As of this time, only 60% can go to school in Myanmar but I really want everyone to have their education and not to be forced to work at a young age.
What are your expectations in the coming Miss Supranational pageant?
To win Miss Supra! I know God can do everything if you know and you believe. First, ofcourse I will enjoy my stay in Poland and will also promote my country Myanmar to the world.
