For the first time ever, Azerbaijan will be represented at Miss Universe beauty contest. The beautiful Aysel Manafova was recently crowned as Miss Azerbaijan earning her the right to represent her nation at the Miss Universe 2013 contest which is to be held in Moscow this November.
Azerbaijan is a largely Muslim country but is a secular society. Its language and way of life is similar to that of Turkey and well in fact Azerbaijani people can understand Turkish well. The participation of the country at Miss Universe marks its first appearance at any of the Big4 contests.
