Alongside the crowning of Miss Universe Alabania was the crowning of Miss Universe Kosovo. Arbesa Rrahmani, 21, won the right to represent Kosovo at the Miss Universe 2023 pageant which will be held in El Salvador. She is a professional model and hails from the city of Ferizaj.
Kosovo is a landlocked nation considered sovereign and independent by the United States and most of the European Union members. However, many countries such as Russia and China do not recognize the independence of Kosovo and considers it as a part of Serbia.
The country started participating at Miss Universe 2008 and had 4 placements since then. It’s highest achievement was in 2009 when Marigona Dragusha became 2nd runner-up.
