Anyta Baksheeva was crowned Krasa Rossii (Beauty of Russia) 2019 during the finals held June 26 at the Vegas City Hall in Moscow.
The 17-year-old beauty from Chita bested 47 other candidates for the right to represent Russia in the next edition of the Miss Earth contest.
“I am so happy that I cannot even believe in my victory,” said Baksheeva, who plans to take up economics.
Christina Bugaevskaya and Natalia Fedorova placed first and second runners-up. Maria Grigorieva, Ekaterina Agapova, and Karina Shumakova were third, fourth and fifth runners-up.
