Earlier this month, Ana Rita Aguiar was appointed by the Miss Portuguesa organization to represent Portugal at the upcoming Miss Supranational 2022 pageant which slated on July. Ana Rita was the winner of Miss Portuguesa contest in 2018 and has participated in several international pageants like Miss International 2019 and Reina Hispanoamericana 2018. She was unplaced in both pageants but the wealth of her experience could certainly help boost her confidence.
Portugal is currently ranked 56th at the Big5 Ranking and is yet to win a Miss Supranational crown. However, Portugal can be proud of its two delegates who made it to the semis: Olívia Ortiz as one of the Top 20 in 2010 and Priscila Alves as one of the Top 10 in 2017.
