Aminata Adialin Bangura of Port Loko was crowned Miss Sierra Leone 2016, beating 13 other candidates for the right to represent Sierra Leone in Miss World 2016.
Esther Williams of Western Area Urban finished 1st runner-up, while Titty Kumba Kamara of Kono was 2nd runner-up.
Adonis Abboud, chairman of Miss Sierra Leone Limited, said in previous reports that Miss Sierra Leone 2016 “would demonstrate to the world that there is more to Sierra Leone than ebola and rebel war.”
The finals was held May 21 at Bintumani International Conference Centre.
