Normandie’s Amandine Petit was crowned Miss France 2021 in a glittering finale held on December 19 at the Grand Carrousel of Puy du Fou in Les Epesses, Pays de la Loire.
The 23-year-old student from Caen bested 28 other delegates for the crown. She received the crown from outgoing titleholder Clémence Botino.
The Miss France Organization has yet to announce which international pageant the new winner will be competing in.
April Benayoum (Provence) placed first runner-up, while Lara Gautier (Côte d’Azur) finished second runner-up. Aurélie Roux (Alsace) and Lou-Anne Lorphelin (Bourgogne) were third and fourth runners-up, respectively.
The finals, held without an audience due to the pandemic, marked the centenary of the Miss France contest. Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere sat as one of the judges.
