The 2021 Reinado de El Salvador contest concluded on July 29 in San Salvador with Alejandra Gavidia bagging the Miss Universe El Salvador 2021 crown.
The 25-year-old public administration graduate bested six other finalists for the right to compete at the 70th Miss Universe competition in Eilat, Israel in December. She succeeded last year’s winner Vanessa Velásquez.
“Esta corona es por ustedes y por todo El Salvador. Más que un triunfo esto es una enorme responsabilidad que tomó con orgullo, valor y compromiso con nuestro país (This crown is for you and for all of El Salvador. More than a triumph, this is an enormous responsibility that he took with pride, courage and commitment to our country),” Gavidia posted on Instagram.
Also crowned in the same event was Miss Intercontinental El Salvador 2021 Fabiola Samayoa, who will compete at the 2021 Miss Intercontinental pageant in Egypt in October.
