Adisha Penn was crowned Miss World US Virgin Islands 2021 during the finals held October 30 at the Divi Carina Bay Beach Resort & Casino.

The 27-year-old entrepreneur will represent the islands at the 70th Miss World competition to be held in December in Puerto Rico. She succeeded 2019 titleholder A’yana Phillips.

“After being crowned I felt joyful. I was happy that my hard work and determination paid off. To be able to represent the Virgin Islands in an international competition makes me feel great and honored, and I was happy to be given the opportunity to do so by the judges,” Penn said in a statement sent to Missosology.

Nhaquifa Russell and P’Azhae Harrigan were first and second runners-up, respectively.

Prior to joining Miss World US Virgin Islands, Penn was Virgin Islands Carnival Queen 2013 and Miss USVI Caribbean Queen 2015.
