Beauty Gems, a leading Thai jeweler, has produced a new tiara for the Miss Universe Thailand pageant. The design concept is based on the woven textiles of Thailand. According to the official press release, the new crown is inspired and based upon the impressions from traditional Thai pattern designs of handmade woven textiles. The glittering tiara is also meant to indicate fineness and perfectly balance composition that reflect the traditional values and characteristics of the Thai people.
Presenting to the press the new crown is Miss Universe Thailand 2013 Chalita Yaemwannang. Chalita presented the new crown atop a small blue and while pillow and the while the beautiful beauty queen is wearing the old crown which was presented in 2011. The old crown drew inspiration from the panicle and spikelet of rice – the staple food of Thailand and of Asia.
