To represent Brazil at the Miss Earth 2024 pageant is 26-year-old Josiane Viana. The Belem native stands at 5’8.5″ and works as a model and is a law student. She was crowned during a finals night held at Teatro Sheraton in São Paulo. A total of 24 contestants vied for the crown.
Josiane Viana is originally from Pará but decided to try her luck for the regional competition in Amapá where she won back in May. She said that her experience at Miss Terra Brasil is quite unique because it gave her “a voice and an opportunity to enhance the multicultural riches” of her country.
She will compete for the Miss Earth 2024 crown in the Philippines later this year. More than 60 contestants will slug it out for the title on the finals night set on November 9. Brazil boasts two Miss Earth titleholders: Priscilla Meirelles (2004) and Larissa Ramos (2009). The country is considered as a beauty superpower and is currently ranked 4th at the Big5 Ranking.
