Representing the province of Valencia, Alicia Faubel, a 25-year-old frontrunner emerged as the overall winner in a finals night held at Los Olivos Beach Resport in Tenerife, Canary Islands. She is 5’9″ tall and is currently studying acting and works as a model. Her hobbies includes reading and listening to music. She speaks Spanish, English and Filipino.
A total of 14 candidates vied for this year’s Miss Universe Spain title. Laura Etayo of Navarra was named as the first runner-up while Alexandra Cucu of Andalucia is the second runner-up. Susana Medina of Las Canarias, Paula Ortega of Catalunya and Noemí Sartal of Galicia completed the Top 5.
Alicia Faubel will compete at the 71st Miss Universe pageant which will be held in early 2023. Spain has one Miss Universe: Amparo Muñoz Quesada who won in 1974. The country is currently ranked 8th at the Big 5 Ranking.
