Chelsea Martina Mituy, representing Ebibeyin, was crowned Miss Guinea Ecuatorial 2021 in a virtual gala held October 30.
The 19-year-old student will represent the nation at the 70th Miss Universe competition in Eilat, Israel in December.
“Today has been a magnificent day because of the surprise that I have had, despite being unexpected, I have had cries of joy and a huge smile that nobody can take away from me,” Mituy posted on Instragram.
Also crowned in the event was Miss Internacional Guinea Ecuatorial 2021 Victoria Kalu Gerona. She is expected to compete at the 60th Miss International beauty pageant.
Estrella Mendez Mbuña placed first runner-up.
Equatorial Guinea has yet to win the Miss Universe crown. It currently ranks 157th in Missosology Big5 Ranking. Missosology.Org
