Loiza’s Michelle Marie Colón was crowned Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2021 during the finals held September 30 at the Centro de Bellas Artes Luis A. Ferré in San Juan.
The 21-year-old pre-medicine student will represent the nation at the 70th Miss Universe competition in Eilat, Israel in December. She succeeded 2020 titleholder Estefanía Soto.
San Lorenzo’s Jaylene Marie Álvarez placed first runner-up, while Dorado’s Oxana Isabel Rivera finished second runner-up. Toa Baja’s Heilymar Rosario, Trujillo Alto’s Sthephanie Marie Miranda, and Villalba’s Gabriela Guzmán completed the Top 6.
