Julia Sinning was crowned Miss Nederland 2021 during the finals held August 29 at Studio 21 in Hilversum.
The 24-year-old TV presenter, actress, model, and communications professional from Amsterdam bested eight other candidates for the title and the right to represent the nation at the 70th Miss Universe competition in Eilat, Israel in December. She succeeds 2020 winner Denise Speelman.
Eleanor Dingemans placed first runner-up.
Ikzelf was nooit goed genoeg. Niks was goed genoeg. With my participation in Miss Netherlands I want to change ′′ the perfect picture”. As a perfectionist, I have long strived for my own perfections. I had to keep proving myself and I had to keep performing, which put a lot of pressure on myself. What I did was never good enough. I myself was never good enough. Nothing was good enough. I then went to Spain to find the peace and strength within myself, and right now I feel stronger than ever),” said Sinning, who was a finalist in the reality show The Bachelor.
