Tangia Zaman Methila was crowned Miss Universe Bangladesh 2020 during the finals held April 3 at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Dhaka.
The 28-year-old model and actress bested nine other finalists for the title and the right to represent Bangladesh at the 69th Miss Universe pageant in Florida, USA in May.
Farzana Yasmin Ananna and Farzana Akter Ani placed first and second runners-up, respectively.
The winners of the special awards were: Miss Congeniality, Farzana Yasmin Ananna; Miss Shining Star, Apana Chakma; Miss Photogenic, Nidra Dey; Miss Body Beautiful, Tangia Zaman Methila; and Miss Talented, Touhida Tusnim Tifa.
Methila was previously named Miss Supranational Bangladesh 2019. She was supposed to compete at the 2019 Miss Supranational contest in Poland but had to withdraw from the contest due to an emergency.
